Ken & Cook, a raw bar/restaurant located at 19 Kenmare Street in the heart of Little Italy, was famously home to Little Charlie’s Clam bar from 1926- 2007. The same Italian family owned the establishment for six generations.

Today, owners Artan Gjoni, veteran of the wonderful Mercer Kitchen, and Chef Malik Fallis of the China Grill Kitchen, have created a modern American menu with signature dishes including Wagyu Burgers, NY Strip, Beef Tartar, and Fried Chicken. Ken & Cook also features a fresh Raw Bar including seasonal Clams, Oysters, Shrimp, and Lobster.

The dining room decor is inspired by Schiller’s Liquor Bar with tiles and rows of wine bottles, but also includes stunning brass tables and the 65-seats also include outdoor dining space during the summer! If you’re in the mood for a little dancing after dinner, check out L’il Charlie’s lounge downstairs which features a DJ booth, a cool vibe and great looking people.

With an industrial brasserie design including original brick walls, pressed tin ceilings, and polished brass elements, Ken & Cook is often described as “a downtown New York restaurant with a French feel to it.”
